The Master of e-Learning and Instructional Technology (MeIT) degree program was designed to prepare classroom instructors, corporate trainers, and instructional technology/e-learning managers and administrators for service in programs at all instructional levels. The MeIT integrates the disciplines of information technology, management, training, and pedagogy to establish an experience-driven program based on solid research, practice, and theoretical principles. Its emphasis is on preparing leaders who can effectively integrate technology and e-learning into instructional and training curriculums to meet societal, organizational, and learner needs.
The concentration in Organizational Training and Development is designed specifically to meet the needs of corporate trainers and others involved in organizational training in the for-profit and nonprofit sectors.
What skills can I learn?
Students who successfully complete the MeIT with a concentration in Organizational Training and Development should be able to:
- Select, acquire, produce, utilize, and evaluate technology and e-learning methods, practices, equipment and materials in effective instructional or training programs.
- Use a systematic approach for establishing, conducting, managing, evaluating, and researching effective instructional and/or training programs.
- Apply e-learning and instructional technology theories, practices, materials, and delivery systems/platforms to integrate technology into the curriculum and classroom.
