The Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice (BSCJ) degree program focuses on the study of the dimensions and causes of crime and delinquency. Its goal is to provide you with a sophisticated understanding of the operations of society's system to contain crime. The BSCJ degree program is also designed to provide you with a solid foundation in law enforcement, the courts and corrections. The program's inclusion of interpersonal skills and management skills can prepare you for positions of responsibility and leadership within the criminal justice community and related professions.

The BSCJ degree can help prepare you for federal agency work in such career fields as customs agent, immigration and naturalization agent, probation and parole case manager, fish and wildlife agent, law enforcement, dispatcher, corrections officer, case manager, adult court services agent, juvenile court services agent, child abuse investigator, victim services advocate, legal assistant, evidence technician, court officer or records supervisor. A degree in criminal justice is a great foundation for law school.
