Program offered is a Bachelor Degree.
The Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (BSCE) degree program is designed to prepare graduates to enter one of the newest and most exciting engineering fields. Computer engineers are not only involved in the design of the computer hardware essential to today's world, they may be called on to develop software, program microprocessors, or design wired or wireless networks. The BSCE program at Colorado Technical University is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
The objectives of the BSCE program are: 1) to develop a student's discipline and expertise to a sufficient degree to be a productive, entry-level computer engineer within industry; and 2) to prepare a student academically for entry into the Master of Science in Computer Engineering (MSCE) program.
What skills can I learn?
Students who successfully complete the BSCE degree program should be able to:
What are some possible career opportunities?
Today, a good number of companies are involved in the entire spectrum of product and system analysis, testing and support. On the commercial side, some companies employ computer engineers for product support with a heavy customer focus, while others are looking for expertise to design anything from memories to specialized digital circuits.
On the government contractor side, firms need computer engineers to design the command, control, communications, computer, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems that are the backbone of national defense
