Strategic Planning incorporates all aspects of the organization: its mission and culture, its leadership and human capital, the competitive environment, the size and complexity of the organization, its assets and resources, and its needs. Strategic planners must have a vision of their company's future, create specific action plans for achieving goals, assess and minimize risk, use resources efficiently, execute on a plan, manage the project, measure results and refine strategies-all the while protecting current income streams.
The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a concentration in Strategic Planning allows business students the opportunity to learn from strategic planning theorists and case histories, use project software to integrate specific solutions and specifications into a cohesive and testable plan, and develop communication and negotiation skills to win support and tap scarce resources.
