Colorado Technical University's Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a concentration in Human Resource Management is designed to prepare the aspiring human resource professional to participate as an integral member of an organization's management team. The complexities of today's legal environment, together with increased emphasis on customer service and competitiveness through effective personnel management, have dramatically affected the role and responsibilities of the human resource manager. Program curriculum is designed to develop insight into management structures and processes and to help build professional skills in communication, human resources and systems management.

Students who successfully complete the BSBA with a concentration in Human Resource Management should be able to:
- Acquire knowledge and an appreciation of the rapidly changing and expanding role of the contemporary and future human resource manager.
- Develop an awareness of the importance of strategic human resource planning.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of employee selection, placement, promotion, and termination processes.
- Develop knowledge related to employee compensation and benefits models to include the ability to set up a payroll system and also have familiarity with the payroll function.
- Understand employee diversity found within management-labor relations.
- Appreciate the complexity of contemporary employment law.
- Demonstrate the application of management information systems including spreadsheets and database applications.
