What are some possible career opportunities?
Today, a good number of companies are involved in the entire spectrum of product and system analysis, testing and support. On the commercial side, some companies employ technicians and interns with at least an associate's degree to manufacture, analyze and test integrated circuit products ("chips"). Other companies may employ technicians or technologists for product support, with a heavy customer focus.
On the government contractor side, firms need technicians or interns to work on command, control, communications, computer, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems that are the backbone of national defense.
Additional education and/or experience may be needed for some positions.
