Master of Arts in Education

Informed by National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, this hybrid (online/on-campus) program supports the key premise that all children can learn—regardless of socioeconomic conditions, ethnicity, language, or learning differences—and equips practicing teachers with instructional strategies to serve all students. With a focus on Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment (Gr. K-12), this practical program gives you the tools you need to help your students develop the skills required for success in the 21st century. Coursework highlights the latest information on creativity, brain-based learning, differentiated instruction, and leadership skills. You'll learn with a faculty chosen for their academic and professional qualifications, and gain insights from national education experts like Dr. Carol Ann Tomlinson, Jay McTighe and Dr. Heidi Hayes Jacobs. By successfully completing this program, you will understand how to design and adapt meaningful curricula and instruction to meet diverse and changing needs and learning preferences. This program represents a step toward becoming a master teacher, curriculum coordinator, department chair, or team lead.

Program offered is a Master Degree.
