Dental Assistants sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment, prepare and lay out the instruments and materials required to treat each patient and obtain patients' dental records. During dental procedures, assistants work alongside the dentist to provide assistance. Dental Assistants may prepare materials for impressions and restorations, take dental x-rays and process x-ray film as directed by a dentist.

Offered in Canyon Country, CA, Lancaster, Long Beach and Oxnard,CA, as well as Bellingham, Pasco and Vancouver, WA, Charter College's Certificate in Dental Assistant helps prepare you for entry-level employment in dental settings. Job titles for graduates may include Chairside Dental Assistant, Dental X-Ray Technician, Dental Office Manager and more.
