Advanced Cardio Tech (Echo)
Advanced Cardiovascular Technologists assist physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac (heart) and peripheral vascular (blood vessel) ailments. CFI trains you in the echocardiography and vascular technology techniques that use ultrasound instrumentation, such as Doppler ultrasound. The techniques taught to the student are called noninvasive since they do not require the insertion of any equipment or instruments into the patient’s body.

Cardiovascular Technician
The Cardiovascular Technician works in a noninvasive capacity to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating heart (cardiac) and blood vessel (peripheral vascular) ailments or diseases. A Cardiovascular Technician or Noninvasive Cardiovascular Technician may specialize in electrocardiograms (EKGs), Holter monitors, and stress testing. Sometimes a Cardiovascular Technician is referred to as a cardiographic or EKG technician.
