The Health Information Technology program will prepare students for the modern health care office environment. It's a world where maintaining patient records is a high priority. Students will be prepared to help assemble patients' health information including medical history, exam results, tests, treatments and provider services. Technicians will organize and manage health information data by learning to ensure its quality, accuracy and security. Communications with physicians and other health care professionals is also part of the technician's job and students will participate in an externship to get field experience prior to graduation.
