K12 Education Certificate: Graduates from a K-12 education program have a general training in education in four key areas. These include early childhood development, elementary school, middle school, and high school. Graduates are qualified to teach those grade levels, although many states and local districts will require additional certification for specific subject areas or focused areas of teaching such as English as a second language, gifted and talented, or special education.
