Dialysis Certificate Programs: Dialysis Technician programs develop interpersonal, communication, and basic clinical skills required for the care of patients with acute / chronic renal disease undergoing dialysis treatment at a dialysis facility or hospital. These comprehensive programs will prepare the student to safely operate kidney dialysis equipment and machines. As part of an integral team, the DPCT is involved in the direct care of the patient before, during, and after their kidney dialysis procedure; the DPCT operates, monitors, and disinfects, kidney dialysis equipment and machines observing facility policies and procedures and Federal and State Regulations.
