Associates Degrees in Court Reporting train students to transcribe legal proceedings in real time, as well as by using recordings of legal proceedings. Students will learn how to use stenotype machines, as well as voice writers, to transcribe word-for-word what transpired in court or in an official interview. In addition to transcription training, students also learn to handle legal tasks that may be required of them, including researching and pulling previous transcripts for judges. This is a fast-paced career for those who would love to work in a legal environment.
