Bachelor of Computer Science
The CNU College of Engineering offers
Bachelor and Master of Science in Engineering degrees
with electives in computer, electrical, environmental,
and mechanical engineering, and a Bachelor of Computer
Science. At the undergraduate level, basic sciences
and general engineering are highlighted to help the
student evolve into a well-rounded engineer with strengths
in the area of his/her choice. At the graduate level,
students and faculty work closely together to choose
a sub-discipline that complements the individual’s
work environment.
A A high school diploma or GED equivalent
is required for admission into the Bachelor of Computer
Science degree program. This program requires completion
of a minimum of 121 units of academic work with a minimum
cumulative GPA of 2.0. Applicants are expected to have
a background in algebra, plane geometry, trigonometry,
physics, and chemistry. If an applicant lacks this background,
prerequisite courses will be assigned from the basic
science curriculum. In addition to these and the general
education requirements, students will follow a computer
science core curriculum program and will then be expected
to complete an elective program by selecting 18 units
from the areas of computer engineering and computer
science.
