This program will prepare you to work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist in community pharmacies and retail environments. Typical duties of a Pharmacy Technicians include filling prescriptions, counting pills, measuring medications, labeling products and providing patients with background information regarding their medications. Pharmacy Technicians may also verify prescriptions, maintain patient records, organize insurance information and perform clerical and other duties as necessary.
