Court Reporting
The Court Reporting degree is designed to prepare the graduate to pursue positions in the field as a free-lance, agency, real-time, or court-employed shorthand reporter as well as being a broadcast captioner. According to an NCRA survey, Court Reporters earn an average of more than $60,000 a year! Business Informatics Center is Member of the NYS Court Reporters Association. Its Faculty includes NYS Supreme Court Court Reporters. Students at Business Informatics Center won three of the statewide total of six NYSCRA Horizon Scholarships. Students at Business Informatics Center complete a professional court reporting internship. It provides Financial Aid Available, If Qualified, Job Placement Assistance.
