Graduates of the Bachelor of Business Administration in General Management program are prepared for professional careers in business, government, and nonprofit organizations. Courses in this unique program provide students with the skill sets required of knowledgeable workers in this Information Age. Additionally, students have the option of choosing a specialization in Marketing, eCommerce, Human Resources or Project Management. Graduates will have the problem solving, strategic planning, communication, interpersonal, and technology application skills needed to meet operational demands and resolve contemporary business problems. Through exposure to active learning techniques, practical application of research methods, team projects, presentations, and internships, students will be prepared not only for the challenges of management positions, but also for a life of continued learning - both at work and in their private lives.
Courses for this specialization include Human Resource Management, Training and Development, Compensation and Benefits, Labor Relations and Collective Bargaining, and Employment Law. Through the courses, the students will be examine and discuss human resources management, recruitment and training, employee rights, career management and development, compensation structure and design, benefits programs, unions and collective bargaining, contract administration, labor relations and hiring and termination.
