Visual Communications
Through the Visual Communication program, you can prepare for entry-level design positions in advertising agencies, corporate art departments, magazine publishers, web development agencies, and interactive content providers. The course begins with development of basic artistic skills through foundation studies in design theory. You can develop conceptual abilities and technical skills through hands-on projects that transform ideas into powerful communications utilizing industry-current technologies.
At the end of the third quarter, you decide to either continue with Graphic Design, or apply for acceptance into the Multimedia Emphasis with its focus on web, interactive, and multimedia development. The program's General Education curriculum is designed to develop the communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills sought by today's employers.
