This program is designed
to provide the training necessary for a student to work
as a pharmacy technician/assistant under the direct supervision
of a licensed pharmacist, depending on individual state
requirements and perform many different pharmacy-related
functions. Basic anatomy, medical terminology, pharmaceutical
calculations, drug distribution systems and preparation
of sterile dosage forms; as well as, other pharmacy office
procedures/billing and compliance with state and federal
pharmaceutical regulations are introduced in this program
of study. Pharmacy technicians/assistants are used in a

hospitals, in home health care, long term care and managed
