Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST)

The Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) credential is the premier certification for professionals working to support end users running Windows XP Professional or Home Edition. Candidates for the MCDST program are those who currently support end users and have the ability to troubleshoot user desktop environments in the Microsoft Windows operating system or who desire to enter into such a career.

Upon successful completion of the MCDST certification program, the candidate will have gained the following skills:

Installing, Upgrade, Troubleshoot a Windows XP Operating System
Configure and Troubleshoot Hardware Devices and Drivers
Configure and Troubleshoot the Desktop and User Environments
Troubleshoot Network Protocols and Services
Configure and Troubleshoot Applications
