Earn an associate degree in accounting and be prepared for excellent career opportunities. Many employers seek job candidates with two-year accounting degrees for entry-level positions, and then train the employees in their companies' specific corporate processes. The Associate in Accounting and Tax Specialist degree program also prepares graduates to act as independent agents, operating home-based accounting and tax preparation services.

Students in the AAS in Accounting and Tax Specialist program complete business and accounting courses that prepare students for Accreditation Council for Accountancy and Taxation® (ACAT) exams, for entry-level accounting and bookkeeping positions and to serve as independent tax advisors and small business consultants.
