The four-year program in Healthcare Administration leading to the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree emphasizes an understanding of underlying business principles and their application to healthcare environment. The curriculum is designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills and competencies necessary to successfully manage healthcare organizations and services. The program combines a solid core of business, healthcare and general education courses. It includes a unique cluster of coursework directed at the health services industry, while also including a wide range of business topics such as accounting, budgeting, finance, law and personnel/human resource management. In addition, this program integrates management information systems into healthcare management in order to provide graduates with competitive advantages in preparing for employment in the healthcare industry.
