The B.S. in political science offers students the necessary skills and knowledge to participate effectively as citizens and leaders in a democratic political system, and to flourish in the rapid globalization of political institutions, cultures and economies. This fully online degree does not have a foreign language requirement.

Offered by ASU's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the B.S. in political science aims to provide students with the tools and skills necessary to make connections linking theory with real world problems and issues. In addition, the major equips students with the background and skills necessary to gain employment in a relevant profession or to continue their studies in various graduate programs or law school.

Career opportunities abound for graduates of this program. They include public administration, civil service, public policy, community development, and urban and regional planning at federal, state, county, and local government levels.
