Our Associate of Applied Business degree in Interior Design will prepare students for a career in this challenging and exciting profession. Interior design is a field of great creativity in which interior spaces are manipulated or altered to form a stimulating, functional environment. Interior designers have the opportunity to make significant improvements to all of the interior spaces that shape our lives.

Our extensive course of instruction prepares students to successfully enter this expanding profession. Our accelerated curriculum helps develop the design skills to create impactful spaces and the business skills necessary to be valued by employers and clients. Classes include hands-on projects, access to our in-house resource library and use of new technologies (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp and Adobe) to create dramatic visual presentations.

Graduates will be prepared for entry-level employment as an interior designer, design consultant, kitchen and bath designer, store planner, facility planner, independent designer, or a sales representative. Graduates may choose to focus on commercial, residential or institutional design. Graduates can expect to work in environments including architectural firms, interior design firms, in-house design teams for major corporations, design centers, art and accessory dealerships, furniture dealerships, showrooms, and film or theatre industry sets.
