Diploma Program Medical Office Specialist is a program designed to teach students the skills and abilities essential to medical clinics, hospitals, doctor's offices, other medical related businesses, and the general administrative career field. Graduates of this program will be able to perform a variety of medical tasks, including coding, billing, scheduling, and other non-medical clerical functions. The student will be able to transcribe medical documents.

They will learn how to use computerized spreadsheets and database systems. They will be able to create correspondence documents using word processing software and access information using the Internet and WWW. Graduates of the program may find employment as medical secretaries, transcriptionists, receptionists, general office clerks and the first line supervisors of administrative and office support workers. These office positions are available in medical offices, clinics, hospitals, insurance offices, corporate offices and small companies, as well as government administrative positions.
