Medical Billing & Coding
What Kind of Work Do We Prepare You To Do? Upon graduation, you will be qualified to work as a Medical Biller and/or Coder in hospitals, nursing homes, medical group practices, home health agencies, clinics and more. Relying upon your Allied College training, you assemble patient info before and after treatment, recording their symptoms and medical history, the results of their exams, x-ray reports, lab tests, diagnoses and treatment plans. Your primary duties are to evaluate records for completeness and ensure that essential info is in the computer. You may also analyze data to help improve patient care, control costs, for use in legal actions, in response to surveys, or for use in research.
