The Medical Office Assistant program is designed to provide you with the medical, business, and communication skills necessary to start a career as part of the health care team in a medical office.The 6 week co-op placement combined with 20 weeks of instructor led classroom learning ensures you graduate confident and familiar with the use of medical terminology, office procedures, microcomputer applications, customer service and related skills. Common job titles for students obtaining employment after graduation include medical office assistant, dental office assistant, medical secretary, medical transcriptionist, receptionist and medical billing clerk.
