EDUCATION

AMT was the first massage school in New Jersey to be accredited by an agency recognized by the US Department of Education. We are now accredited by the Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation (COMTA), which is recognized by the US Department of Education. Our graduates may qualify to sit for the National Certification Exam. Many of our graduates also use their education to apply for licenses in New York, Hawaii, New Mexico, Connecticut, Maryland and Florida, since our standards meet or exceed most states' standards. Our programs also satisfy the educational requirements for the newly enacted New Jersey state massage therapist license.

AMT has been training massage therapists since 1990. Educational backgrounds and learning skills differ from person to person, so we've developed a curriculum that accommodates kinesthetic, auditory and visual learners. Our staff and faculty help and encourage all who present a sincere desire to learn and achieve.

TUITION RATES, FINANCIAL AID & PAYMENT PLAN OPTIONS

Our school is fully-approved by the United States Department of Education to offer the same types of student loans and grant programs found at colleges and universities. When you enroll at AMT, you'll sit down with our Financial Aid Officer one-on-one to develop a financial aid & payment plan package that can make school easy to afford. Please note that financial aid is available to only those who qualify.

CAREER PLACEMENT ASSISTANCE

As the industry grows, more and more employers call our Career Services Office in search of trained graduates. Many of our graduates are also self-employed, which offers maximum career freedom.

Our Mission is to provide comprehensive training in massage therapy in a supportive atmosphere, so that our graduates can gain the financial independence, professional status and self esteem that this career provides.

Our Objectives are to:

• Provide a curriculum that meets National Certification standards

• Prepare students for the National Certification Examination in Massage and Bodywork

• Prepare students for careers as massage or shiatsu therapists in medical, chiropractic and physical therapy offices, gyms, spas, salons, cruise ships and for private practice

• Help develop a professional caring, well educated, responsible therapist whose goal is to bring good health to all members of the community, regardless of economic status.
