ALU's Bachelor of Science degree in Legal Studies offers students a way to pursue a comprehensive understanding of the legal system in respect to the courts, clients and lawyers. After completing the core courses, students can focus on areas that interest them through program electives.
Graduates of this program may compete for positions in law firms, corporate legal departments, government agencies and nonprofit organizations. Students may also choose to transition into a graduate program in order to qualify for higher salaries and positions. The curriculum aims to help students become proficient in several areas, including effective communication and application of concepts from a wide variety of legal disciplines. Students also learn to prepare and write legal memoranda, motions, and other court documents for review by attorney, as well as other critical functions.
