The Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree is a rigorous and rewarding graduate level program. The J.D. degree consists of 140 quarter units and is completed in approximately four years. Each oneyear academic term consists of 35 quarter units (8.7 units per quarter). The four-year semester equivalent is 93 total semester units (11.6 units per semester).

It is designed to educate qualified students using advanced technology to gain admission to the California State Bar and become effective and responsible attorneys. This is achieved through a learner-centered curriculum focused on producing specific learning outcomes in our graduates.
