Professional Medical Coding

This is a behind-the-scenes career for someone who prefers to work with patient information rather than patient care. A Professional Coder is project oriented and works well doing research.

This 17-month program consists of 66 core credits and 24 concentration credits, including:

• MED 150 Clinical Procedures 1 (3 credits)
• COD 140 Basic ICD-9-CM Coding (4 credits)
• COD 155 AAPC Professional Coding (10 credits)
